Dibujo con la luz del sol, creo imágenes que perduran o se desvanecen, a veces nítidas y a veces difusas.
La fotografía artesanal, tiene esa sutil textura que otorga el soporte, los razgos de un rostro entremezclados con la huella de un papel, una roca, una tela, una concha, una hoja. Esta sensación me devuelve al origen de la imagen.
La concha de mar muestra el rostro de una mujer impresa en cianotipia, me interesa la relación entre la imagen y el soporte, y los significados que podemos inferir. Suele referirse a la vulva femenina como “concha”, transformando el cuerpo en ofensa, sin pensarlo insultamos a un otro en lo cotidiano, con rabia o en cualquier circunstancia, como si provenir de la “concha” fuese algo indecente y deshonroso ¿Acaso el lenguaje crea realidad?
El proyecto se plantea como una reflexión sobre la representación de la mujer en Chile a través del tiempo, cuestiona nuestra percepción de lo femenino 100 años después, el sexismo presente en nuestro lenguaje, la instrumentalización de la mujer, el machismo en lo cotidiano.

Drawing with sunlight, I create images that last or fade, sometimes sharp and sometimes diffuse.
Handmade photography has that subtle texture that gives the support, the reasons of a face intermingled with the imprint of a paper, a rock, a fabric, a shell, a leaf. This feeling returns me to the origin of the image.
The sea shell shows the face of a woman printed in cyanotype, I am interested in the relationship between the image and the support, and the meanings we can infer. Usually refers to the female vulva as "shell", transforming the body into an offense, without thinking we insult another in everyday life, with rage or in any circumstance, as if coming from the "shell" was something indecent and dishonorable. Does language creates reality?
The project is presented as a reflection on the representation of women in Chile over time, questions our perception of the feminine 100 years later, the sexism present in our language, the instrumentalization of women, machismo in everyday life.
